Student-run businesses at Rice University are educational opportunities that serve to benefit all members of the Rice community.
These businesses are managed and staffed by students, who receive guidance from advisors. In addition to staffing, the student-run businesses are responsible for all products served, health-code mandates and all other business costs.
In 2010, the student-run businesses began working together to promote all student-run business across campus. Part of this effort includes an Annual “Student-Run Business” week. This includes celebrations and discounts at all of the businesses involved.
