The Rice Residential College System is a central aspect of the university experience. Within the residential college structure, Dining Services serves the integral role of providing the student body with nutritious and appetizing food. To best fulfill this service, Dining Services combines our meal plans with the traditional ingredients of wholesome food, convenience, and friendly staff. Our talented and award-winning culinary team is eager to provide a seemingly unlimited variety of food while upholding the standards of sustainability and wellness. Requests are welcome and encouraged. Our dining policy is “all you care to eat” focused on wellness and healthy choices. In addition, we are delighted to announce our compostable program where dishes are served in eco-friendly plates and bowls that are 100% biodegradable. All post consumer food waste in the college serveries will become high nutrient compost for our gardens, grounds, and research. For more information, click here.
