Little Kitchen HTX at the Brochstein Pavilion
The Brochstein Pavilion is the social hub on campus and is intended as the place where graduate and undergraduate students, faculty, staff and visitors can meet and come together as a community. From every direction or at any time of day, the aesthetics of Brochstein Pavilion evoke a sense of pleasant surroundings inside and outside through a modern symmetrical design. The pavilion can be viewed as the twenty-first century “front door to Rice”, where those from all distances can come to interact. This venue is quintessential to host an event or gathering, which offers a variety of beverages and food by Little Kitchen HTX. Little Kitchen HTX is a family-owned local business. Chefs Becca and Jason Kerr have been connected to the local food community for many years. Chef Jason has been in the restaurant industry for over 30 years and an extremely dynamic portfolio filled with valuable culinary experience. Both Becca and Jason are committed to supporting local businesses within their concept which will exemplify the university’s value of community. They feature local ingredients from vendors like Houston Dairymaids, 44 farms, Animal Farm, Plant It Forward Farms, Honey Child Sweet Creams, just to name a few. The food served and the services provided by Jason and Becca significantly enhance the atmosphere in the Pavilion. Their many grab-and-go options are terrific. Rice Dining and Little Kitchen HTX have developed a comprehensive plan for operating under CDC guidelines.
